Provide your caterer with as much detail as you have. Be honest about your budget and tell him or her what you’d like to have…even if you think it’s out of your price range. A creative caterer that’s willing to please enjoys the challenge of creating a similar approach that’s affordable on your budget. If you’ve seen something you like at an event, restaurant or even in a magazine, share the information with him or her. But, remember not to be overly restrictive. A good caterer works best in an atmosphere of trust and flexibility.
