Dress-A-ChairSitting Pretty!

Here’s a question that every wedding and other special event planner should ask themselves:  What is the most visible and abundant item in a venue that usually goes undecorated?  If you guessed “the chairs,” you’re correct.

Hello, my name is Gwen Mead, the owner of Dress-A-Chair.  The idea for the business came about when my own daughter, Heather, was planning her wedding.  She was married in a church which supplied the usual, unattractive folding chairs for guests. We couldn’t locate any covers for them, so my mother sewed 100 covers that saved the day.  We began renting them to other event planners and they became the foundation for Dress-A-Chair.

StaffToday, Dress-A-Chair has more than 9,000 chair covers available for rent.  The covers come in a choice of 16 sizes which fit 99% of chairs.  We have created custom covers for some clients, including the Waterford Hotel.  White, black and ivory covers usually match most linens.  As an extra splash of color, we also provide decorative sashes for the chairs which come in a variety of fabrics, such as polyester (like the linens), organza, satin and taffeta.  They are available in a choice of more than 100 colors, including chocolate, and a different shades of green, blue and pink.  If you would prefer, we’ll be happy to customize a color of chair cover that perfectly complements your theme. Our banquet chair covers are available in satin and a variety of colors.  The sashes can be rented separately for decorative wooden and Chaivani chairs.

Dress-a-ChairDress-A-Chair maintains all our covers and sashes in a way that assures you of the highest quality product.  We spot clean, wash and iron them, and then we go a step further than any other supplier:  We hang them on hangers and cover them in plastic so they always look their best.  Presentation is everything. When a chair cover has been stored or shipped folded, the result is unnecessary creases and wrinkles.

Dress-A-Chair is located in Tulsa, but we serve all of Oklahoma and even parts of Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas.  Plus, you can pick them up and take them with you for your destination wedding or event.  Within our regional area, you can choose to have us deliver, pick up and even completely set up the chairs.

No matter what you color scheme or event theme, Dress-A-Chair is the one decorating resource that will turn any ordinary room into an elegant or festive venue.  In more than 10 years, there has never been an event that we haven’t been able to match or coordinate.

You can be sure that at Dress-A-Chair, we have you covered!
