Hello, my name is Gwen Mead, the owner of Dress-A-Chair. The idea for the business came about when my own daughter, Heather, was planning her wedding. She was married in a church which supplied the usual, unattractive folding chairs for guests. We couldn’t locate any covers for them, so my mother sewed 100 covers that saved the day. Kids in the Kitchen!
What’s a fun way to serve great food at your child’s party without having to prepare it yourself? Let the kids do it! Children, even young ones, can do amazing things in the kitchen while they’re having a great time.
Hi! My name is Lori Ritz, the new owner of Young Chefs Academy in Edmond since September 2008. My husband, who is a general manager of a car dealership enjoys helping out whenever he can. After being a stay-at-home mother to our three children for 10 years, I was looking for a way to get back into the “working” world.

A Lotta Latte’!
“Coffee to go” takes on a whole new meaning when your very own complete Espresso and Smoothie Bar makes a grand entrance at your next special event!
Hello, my name is Tag Dertinger, the owner of Dirty Water Coffee Company. I grew up in Oregon where I was used to seeing true drive-thru Espresso shops on nearly every corner. When I moved to Oklahoma City in 2003, I looked into the possibility of setting up the same business concept here. Due to regulations and capitol restrictions, I decided to go with another idea – bringing a complete coffee shop into special events.
